Retreat Bistro

The Retreat Coffee Shop & Bistro is based in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National park in the quaint and beautiful village of Grassington, North Yorkshire. ​ Run by ourselves, Rick and Adele, we are very passionate about what we do. We get very excited about fruity, zingy coffee and offering honest food with good service, that suits all diets and requirements. Our Afternoon Teas are served 7 days per week from 2.30pm ( Pre-booking essential) We serve a variety of freshly prepared dishes, tempting cakes and homemade puddings. We try to tweak recipes and menus to cater for all, including Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free and Dairy Free diets.

Lychee Cantonese Restaurant

A family run, fully licensed restaurant with over 25 years experience serving Cantonese cuisine, we pride ourselves on serving freshly prepared, delicious meals. Originating from the Guangdong province in South Eastern China, which borders Hong Kong, Cantonese cuisine is one of many Chinese culinary traditions although it is perhaps the most recognised in the Western world. Our frequently updated menu offers many regional Cantonese classics such as Sweet and Sour Pork and Roast Duck with Lychee in Plum sauce as well as a variety of fusion and provincial dishes including Japanese Katsu Chicken Curry, Singapore Vermicelli, spicy Szechuan and Kunbo. In addition we provide a seasonal specials board and a full vegetarian menu. However, if your preferred dish does not appear on our menus, please do not hesitate to ask as we will endeavour to fulfil your request.

Oakley's Grill & Pizzeria

Originally launched in 2008, Claire & Peter Hanson acquired the restaurant from the Oakley family in 2016. Claire had been the front of house manager for 5 years and helped turn the restaurant into what it is today. Oakleys enjoys a niche that has great appeal to the public who actively seek out a homely restaurant that doesn’t look like another PLC! At Oakleys we rely on repeat customers some of which come back two or three times a week to enjoy our delicious homemade food. Oakleys is housed within a historic character building that was originally a rag mill built over 3 floors. Internally the decor is sympathetic to the building, with wooden floors and tables and pictures on the wall of days gone by. The listed Building on Albert street is one of Skipton’s oldest buildings and is a delight within itself.

The Curious Fox

With secure free private parking on site, Napier’s Restaurant with Rooms is situated in the oldest part of Skipton, behind the castle. There is free Wi-Fi throughout, and parts of the building date back to the 13th century. Fresh fish is delivered daily, and home-baked bread and homemade sausages feature on the restaurant menu. You can enjoy local lamb, beef, pork and game, and both the lunch and evening menus change regularly. Each room at Napier’s is traditionally furnished, and some still retain 17th-century wooden beams. All rooms benefit from a flat-screen LCD TV, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The High Street is just metres from the front door, and you can visit the famous market, and the wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Elsworth Kitchen Restaurant is a family run business established in Skipton in 2018. We are happy to welcome babies & children for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have a dedicated children’s menu (link). We also cater for Vegans and Vegetarians and if you have any food intolerances please let us know and we can adjust our menu accordingly for you. Dogs are also welcome at Elsworth Kitchen, for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake! Bruce and Rebecca source local, seasonal ingredients for our dishes and so our menu changes weekly. We are a group of people who interest in food and have overwhelming desire to create own restaurant where we can cook a good food in a good atmosphere. We started our dream by rending a restaurant in Shipley, and stepped forward to build our own restaurant in a Skipton, the little small historic town in North Yorkshire with beautiful scenery, a perfect place for us. Great Food, Great Value, Great Dining Experience At Bizzie Lizzie’s our aim is simple – to provide fresh high quality food at affordable prices to give you a fantastic dining experience every single time you visit us. Chipping Our Way to The Top We bought Belmont Bridge Fisheries at Swadford Street in 1986 and began serving really good takeaway fish & chips. In 1989, we extended and modernised the premises to provide a first class traditional fish and chip restaurant and takeaway. Now all we needed was a new name to reflect the success of our growing business. The answer came from one of our customers who suggested we use our founder Jean Ritson’s middle name of “Lizzie” and combine it with what we wanted the restaurant to be – “busy”. And so with a little poetic licence the Bizzie Lizzie’s we know and love today was born. By combining the finest ingredients with hard work and our passion for making people happy, we gained an enviable reputation and in 1999 won the National Fish & Chip Awards, with visitors travelling from far and wide to taste our award winning Fish & Chips. As our fame grew, we needed more space and in 2002 opened our second restaurant at High Street Car Park. With its fresh, modern interior and unusual décor it soon became a favourite with shoppers and visitors alike. Tasty breakfasts and luscious afternoon teas were added to the menu making it the perfect central venue to meet and treat friends and family right through the day. That’s why we installed the most energy efficient frying range currently available and use low energy light bulbs where possible. We recycle all plastic, cardboard & cans, cut transport miles by using local suppliers and constantly work to reduce our carbon footprint still further.
